I Saw the Devil

I saw the devil and I think it was me I met her at the bottom of a shot of whiskey I never woulda thought we were one and the same I saw the devil and I knew her name

I've stolen time Told a few lies I've cheated fate Looking dead in his eyes I've given in To sweet sin And I've got the proof that it's bitter in the end

I finally got karma back on my side But it took me taking one hell of a ride

I saw the devil and I think it was me I met her at the bottom of a shot of whiskey I never woulda thought we were one and the same I saw the devil and I knew her name Shootin' em back and pouring 'em strong Tricking me to not know right from wrong It must have been an angel who set me free Cause I saw the devil and I think it was me

The demon in me Is 6 feet deep But the bottle is a shovel if I let it be Yeah I keep it buried I don't forget Ain't gonna let it get me like the day we met

I think it was me Yeah

I heard her calling just yesterday Full of temptation and screaming my name

I saw the devil and I think it was me I met her at the bottom of a shot of whiskey I never woulda thought we were one and the same I saw the devil and I knew her name Shootin' em back and pouring 'em strong Tricking me to not know right from wrong It must have been an angel who set me free Cause I saw the devil and I think it was me

I think it was me I think it was me I saw the devil and I think it was me
