Overdue

She's been too long lonely, too long sad Time's the only thing she's had To hold onto, she's overdue She's got wants and she's got needs A girl like her deserves to be loved Through and through, she's overdue Overdue for a weekend good-time drink or two Turning her broken heart loose Throwing goodbye over her shoulder Like people starting over do Well, I've got her laughing Helped her find that smile We've been dancing for a little while She said, "I'm glad I met you" I said, "Girl, I'm glad too" Overdue for a weekend good-time drink or two Turning her broken heart loose Throwing goodbye over her shoulder Like people starting over do Overdue for a weekend good-time drink or two Turning our broken hearts loose Throwing goodbye over our shoulders Like people starting over do She's overdue
