Kidd G - Letter

Lord, do you hear me We ain't talked in a minute I know I'm doing bad on my own But I'm committed Lord, please help me, I'm just tryna find a way Before you hit me back There's some things I need to say

Momma treats me good But I'm steady talking back People say they love me I don't trust ya, yeah, it's sad Friends that I've lost And I'm just tryna get 'em back The only thing I'm focused on is the fame and cash

Lord ya need to fix all the things I speak about I've tried to find a way But somehow I just lost the route Fightin' all these dеmons I'm surrounded, help me out (yeah, help me out, help me out, help me out)

I hope you get this letter I done send it over text Snapchat, no email I'm just prayin' for success Walkin' through these battlefields I need an armor vest Lately, I feel like you been puttin' me to the test

Everybody's hatin' I can't even fix the pain The only thing I think about is success and fame Man, I don't know what I can do In this life, I cannot lose

Lord, do you hear me We ain't talked in a minute I know I'm doing bad on my own But I'm committed Lord, please help me, I'm just tryna find a way Before you hit me back There some things I need to say

Pencil and a paper That's how I write my songs I guess to me and these demons We just don't get along So I'm on my knees, man My hands, they be crossed I'm thanking you for dying for me up on the cross

So I'm spitting raps Man, I'm tryna get along with people Man, I guess they do not just like my songs So I'm talkin' to you like a man You understand me Man, one day I wanna go win a Grammy

We know I'm not the worst You know I'm not the best Everybody's hatin' on me Pain is in my chest I done lost my girl 'Cause I love another one Lord, I am thankful that I am your son

I ain't never stop until my car hits the brakes I ain't never drop until my body wants to drop My dad's got my back And my mom does too And Lord's on my side, promise you gonna lose

Dear Lord, please, protect my children Take care of them Give them strength Give them everything that you desire, Lord, Amen

I think about my lost ones Almost every single day It's funny how the bad ones go And the good ones— Wait, oh no It's funny how the good ones have to go

I know they see me slippin' You won't ever catch me lackin' Man, I found that love Man, I really got the mathematics I'ma speed it up I gotta pick it up Man, if the demon's on my side I gotta beat it up

Lord, do you hear me We ain't talked in a minute I know I'm doing bad on my own But I'm committed Lord, please help me, I'm just tryna find a way Before you hit me back There some things that I need to say
