BACKWARDS!

She went through hell Says she doesn't know what she was thinking She wrote a note to herself Saying, "I won't get out if I'm drinking, if I'm drinking" There's no one to hold her tight, give her love and affection This world is pushing her in different directions She starts the car and her tears come right afterwards She fixed her mirror saying, "I won't look backwards"

I won't look backwards I won't look backwards I won't look backwards I won't look

This town will keep tearing apart What's left of her beautiful heart She holds the keys to her life So she puts it in drive She keeps on pushing with the moon in her reflection She looks so pretty with her starlight complexion Her momma said better days will come afterwards She wiped her tears saying, "I won't look backwards"

I won't look backwards I won't look backwards I won't look backwards I won't look

I held her tight, full of love and affection I wanna love her with the purest connection She stole a kiss and her tears came right afterwards She told me, "Honey, I won't look backwards"

I won't look backwards I won't look backwards I won't look backwards I won't look
