Most High

I hope you never turn the scripture to an idiom I hope you never doubt that poetry is literal I missed when royalty was Eddie and Arsenio I miss when I could pray for hours with millennials I miss the times when I was cryin' to some Jesus Culture I used to blast my worship music with my windows open I used to walk the streets prayin' for the homeless And I remember that He never left me hopeless I get nostalgic like I lost it but I found it I just found my secret place in that grace is still abounding It's brand new mercy, Imma tell someone about Him I just saw Jesus like the first time I found him And I found it to be lifted up, seated in the heavens The Spirit's fresh wind feelin' epic I open up my mouth, that's that different type of language Now I'm feelin' up, you can't quite keep up with them changes Oh, it's too good, oh, it's too good And don't wanna fall for the things I used to See, I could fall down and righteous man rise My steps been ordered to start this franchise I lifted up my voice back at the campfire

Cause I was dry bones and now I can't die See, I was dry bones and now I can't die See, I was dry bones and now I can't die It's important that we close to Him Yeah, it's important that we close to Him Yeah, it's important that we close to Him Yeah, it's important that we close to Him This is how we live, this how we move This is how we breathe, everything is true This is how we live, this how we move This is how we breathe, everything is true Everything is true, everything is true Everything is true, everything is true Everything is true, said everything is true

It's important that we close to the Most High You can bet the Holy Ghost must be close by I can feel it like it hit me back in '05 It's just different when you livin' and you know God It's reconciliation, everything I messed up Sittin' at the throne with confessions Can't believe you seen me at my worst and took me to the wellspring Now I'm washed clean, had a stomach full of thirst A mummy with a curse I opened up the grave now I'm comin' from the dirt With a new eyelids pourin' out geysers, and I don't really cry But all creation reachin' for the sky Yo, we just wear His image while we starin' at the infinite Words like it's text but it's Genesis, Exodus Lamentations, Proverbs, Revelations, God's words All of human language, but I'm speakin' like a toddler Said He'd never leave, I see He keep His promises Got me full of life and godliness, I'm home Yo, I ain't singin' songs like I never needed power The only time I flourish is when I need Him every hour Never thought you'd catch me singin' in the choir

But you just set this man on fire, right, right You just set this man on fire, yeah, yeah You just set this man on fire Said, said, you just set this man on fire, right, yeah You just set this man on fire It's important that we close to Him Yeah, it's important that we close to Him Yeah, it's important that we close to Him Yeah, it's important that we close to Him This is how we live, this how we move This is how we breathe, everything is true This is how we live, this how we move This is how we breathe, everything is true Said everything is true, everything is true Everything is true, said everything is true Said this is how we live, this is how we breathe This is how we live, everything is true
