Barefoot (Commentary)

Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh

At a wedding or a party or some downtown bar It don't matter where we are, she's gon' shine When her song comes on, you know it's over (Yeah) Even if she is completely sober

My baby's barefoot on the dance floor, spinning all around Head up in the clouds, feet barely touch the ground Don't know why I brought 'em Don't know why she brought 'em Got her shoes up in her hand like she's somewhere in the sand My baby's barefoot on the dance floor My baby's barefoot on the dance floor

Ooh, ooh, I spent on a lot on money on high heels For her to stick 'em in her purse 'Fore the band makes it through the first verse, yeah I stand back and watch her go crazy I just laugh and say: that's my baby, baby"

My baby's bringing me down My baby's going to town Like she's never been to town before My baby's tearing it up My baby's stirring it up As soon as she hits the floor Barefoot on the dance floor, oh yeah, yeah

My baby's barefoot on the dance floor (On the dance floor) Spinning all around Head up in the clouds, feet barely touch the ground Don't know why I brought 'em Don't know why she brought 'em Got her shoes up in her hand (In her hand, yeah) Like she's somewhere in the sand My baby's barefoot on the dance floor (Barefoot on the dance floor) My baby's barefoot on the dance floor

Oh, oh (Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh) Barefoot on the dance floor (Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh)
