Scars

Faded scars now How could I hide them? I want you to see me Without the filter on me I’m not gonna hide it anymore All the obligations out the door I’m in the light now No more guilty prison “What’s at the front of my mind is like a groundedness in personhood because of that time with God. I just see David out in the hills in the middle of nowhere, like, no one could see it, no one was, none of it could be measured by anybody but David himself Like he knew, like, this is unto the Lord.” No need to hide now I never thought this would happen All of the pride and The idols are tumbling, crashing Never thought that I would be this safe Imagine what it’s like to cross those gates I’m falling in love I tried to shut you out Now I’ve tasted and seen enough To know You, You are the only One To know You, You are the only One All of the lies gone Finally no more waiting Might take some time but I promise the pain is fading Now I see the light, it feels so safe Imagine what it’s like to cross those gates I’m falling
