The Last

I had a first kiss, bed of a Chevy Underneath Midwest stars I had a first time, thought it was forever But it ended with a broken heart There was a guy my daddy hated And one who nearly made it You ain't the first shot at love I've ever had but Be the last thing on my mind Every night when I close my eyes Be the last arms I fall into When the sun falls out of that sky Gave you my heart and for the first time I don't want it back Be the last It's the first time moving too fast Don't feel like moving too fast It ain't my first time hearing those words But this time I believe 'em Be the first to put me first That's all I ask And be the last thing on my mind Every night when I close my eyes Be the last arms I fall into When the sun falls out of that sky Gave you my heart and for the first time I don't want it back Be the last Be the last Last Friday night you picked me up Climbed in your truck My head fell on your shoulder Moonlight hit your eyes The first time that I told ya Be the last I want you to be the last thing on my mind Every night when I close my eyes Be the last arms I fall into When the sun falls out of that sky Gave you my heart and for the first time I don't want to get it back Be the last Be the last Oh
