Cool Yule

From Coney Island to the Sunset Strip Somebody's gonna make a happy trip Tonight While the moon is bright

He's gonna have a bag of crazy toys To give the groanies of the girls and boys So dig, Santa comes on big

He'll come a-calling when the snow's the most When all you cats are sleeping warm as toast And you gonna flip when old Saint Nick Plays a lick on a peppermint stick

He'll come a flying from a higher place Fill the stockings by the fireplace So you, have a yule that's cool

From old Broadway to west L.A. Somebody's gonna drive a crazy sleigh tonight While the moon is bright He's filled his bag way up with Christmas joys To give the groanies of the girls and boys So dig, Santa comes on big

He'll come a-calling when the snow's the most When all you cats are sleeping warm as toast And you're gonna flip when you see old Saint Nick Lay a lick on a peppermint stick

He'll drop down from a swingin' place And fill the stockings by the fireplace So you, have a yule that's cool

"Say, you know what Eddie?" "What's that old buddy?" "You know, I wonder if Santa's copped that sky piece for me this year..." "You know, that-, that one I pulled his coat about." "Well, you know Santa's no goof now, he's a cat, a real swinger." "Oh, I dig that all the way man." "Why many's the Xmas I've been out goofing with the cats till way past night noon." "I'd stumble home to find hoofprints on the roof, and a stocking full of stuff." "That's right! If you've been cool, Santa won't do you wrong."

"Well, he even left me a note one time." "A note? What'd it say partner?" "Well, you know it was touched up in magic Xmas ink, so I had to taste some rum cake before it became clear to me." "But there it was in all it's yuletide glory, glowing by the firelight, it was beautiful!" "It said, 'Have a yule that's cool'" "Cool yule huh?" "Finest kind." "That's right."
