Convincing

I think someone cued the moon, the perfect view And put the breeze on the water You're just someone I didn't know, a day ago Shouldn't this be more awkward? And hell, who just turned on this Etta James song? This feels way too lights, camera, action

Spin me around, sand as our dance floor It sure feels like we've been here before Laughing at you, you're singing to me Oh, look at us causing a scene I say, "This is so dumb" You say, "Shut up and kiss me" We ain't in love But damn, we're convincing

We've got palm trees wishing we would get a room We can't get any closer And if someone wrote the script and this is it I'd watch it over and over And of course then you grin Say, "I want you" in French This feels way too lights, camera, action

Spin me around, sand as our dance floor It sure feels like we've been here before Laughing at you, you're singing to me Oh, look at us causing a scene I say, "This is so dumb" You say, "Shut up and kiss me" We ain't in love But damn, we're convincing the waves Convincing the moon You barely know me and I barely know you

But just spin me around, sand as our dance floor It sure feels like we've been here before Laughing at you, you're singing to me Oh, look at us causing a scene I say, "This is so dumb" You say, "Shut up and kiss me" We ain't in love But damn, we're convincing

And we could just be drunk But damn, we're convincing
